The Office Cam (formerly The Live View of Chicago) uses an Axis 207MW 1.3MP network camera to send an image up to my server every 60 seconds.

What Became of Office Cam I
On June 27th, 2008, our apartment was totaled by a fire that started on the roof of the condominium building and spread downward, destroying the unit above ours—and consequently our own by way of extensive smoke, water, and mold damage. To give you an idea of how durable Axis cameras are, the 207MW kept transmitting up until the moment the electricity was finally cut. Only after the camera was knocked to the floor by the fire department in the process of preventing the flames from spreading was the camera finally compromised by the noxious (and quite corrosive) mixture of water and soot:
